This private trip takes you to a quieter corner of the Mekong Delta: the calm Xẻo Quýt cajuput forest and colourful Sa Đéc in Đồng Tháp Province. A local English-speaking guide picks you up at your central Ho Chi Minh City hotel and stays with you all day.
Spend the morning gliding through the forest by sampan, enjoy a five-course Vietnamese lunch, then cross the river by local ferry. In the afternoon, wander the flower village, the Huỳnh Thủy Lê Ancient House, the Hokkien Assembly Hall and Sa Đéc's farmers' market before heading back to the city.

DAY 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Xẻo Quýt – Sa Đéc – Ho Chi Minh City
- Pickup at your central Ho Chi Minh City hotel and drive to Đồng Tháp Province (about 2–2.5 hours), with a short refreshment stop if needed.
- Xẻo Quýt cajuput forest eco-zone (about 1 hour 30 minutes): board a sampan and drift through narrow waterways under the cajuput canopy – a former revolutionary base, now full of birdsong and greenery.
- Five-course Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant (about 45 minutes); vegetarian, vegan or special-diet meals on request.
- Cross the Tiền River on a local public ferry (about 20 minutes), a simple ride local people have relied on for generations.
- Sa Đéc Flower Village (about 30 minutes): a 300-year-old village recognised as a national heritage site; see blooms cultivated on raised wooden racks, then hop on a sampan for a brief glide past the flower beds.
- Huỳnh Thủy Lê Ancient House (about 20 minutes), tied to the love story of Marguerite Duras' novel “The Lover”.
- Visit the Sa Đéc Hokkien Assembly Hall (about 15 minutes).

Outside this area a surcharge may apply, or guests may need to make their own way to the meeting point.

Please be ready 10–15 minutes in advance.
The vehicle waits no longer than 10–15 minutes past the agreed time.

Pick-up at the hotel lobby or the confirmed meeting point.
If the vehicle cannot access the location, guests are kindly asked to walk to the nearest point as directed.

Drop-off at the original pick-up point within the city centre area.
A surcharge may apply for drop-off at a different location.

Arriving late or failing to show up is treated as a No Show and is non-refundable.

Where does the tour pick me up?
At your hotel in central Ho Chi Minh City. Go365 confirms the pickup time after booking. At the end of the day you are dropped at your hotel or in the city centre, as you prefer.
What should I bring?
Comfortable shoes, a hat, a camera, sunscreen and insect repellent.
Can you cater for vegetarian or halal diets?
Yes – vegetarian, vegan, halal and other special meals are available if you tell us in advance, as well as any food allergies. Some special requests may carry an extra charge.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are non-refundable.
Is the tour suitable for everyone?
It is not recommended for people who suffer from altitude sickness. The day includes sampan and ferry rides plus some easy walking.
Anything else I should know?
Timings may change without prior notice, though we do our best to keep to schedule. Guides in other languages are available on request for an extra charge. Along the way you may occasionally see caged animals (such as pythons, crocodiles or frogs) kept by villagers for a living; they are not part of the programme – let us know in advance if you would rather avoid this.
