MORNING

At exactly 06:00, the group departs from 156 Lê Lai, District 1, then sets off on the Đồng Tháp 1-day tour.

You stop for breakfast at Vạn Thịnh Restop – the menu includes: bún bò, hủ tiếu, phở, cơm tấm... and 1 soft drink or iced milk coffee.

The group then continues. Along the way you will hear commentary about the famous places of Long An and Mỹ Tho, such as:

1. Gò Đen rice liquor
2. Chợ Đào fragrant "nàng thơm" rice
3. Bến Lức
4. In particular, the group passes the Mỹ Thuận Bridge – the largest cable-stayed bridge in Việt Nam.

The group reaches Đồng Tháp and admires the beauty of the Tân Quy Đông ornamental-flower village – Sa Đéc Flower Village, a traditional craft village more than a hundred years old, on the banks of the Tiền River, known as the land of ornamental flowers, with:

1. A total flower-growing area of over 510 ha
2. More than 1,300 households
3. Over 2,000 different ornamental-flower species

The flower village has become one of the largest ornamental-flower hubs in the Mekong Delta and the South.

It also draws visitors with flower-village cafés set in open spaces, eye-catchingly decorated with sampans, cyclo-trailers, monkey bridges, thatched huts... laden with lovely flowers.

Next, you visit the Happy Land Hùng Thy tourist area – a stunning check-in spot not to be missed when visiting the Flower Village.

NOON

You have lunch with Mekong Delta specialties such as: sesbania-flower shrimp salad, buried grilled snakehead fish, crispy fried linh fish, pork belly and mud minnows braised with pepper, pig's-trotter and lotus-seed stew, and boiled assorted fruit/vegetables.

The group then visits the Lai Vung Pink Tangerine Orchard – dubbed the “kingdom of pink tangerines”, with a growing area of over 2,000 ha.

Here you:

1. Enjoy pink tangerines, fresh tangerine juice and refreshingly sweet sugar tea
2. Take endless photos among the fruit-laden tangerine trees – some branches hang almost to the ground
3. Experience life as a farmer by harvesting tangerines
4. You can buy tangerines as gifts for relatives and family

After that, the group visits the Lotus Leaf Pagoda (Phước Kiển Tự) – founded before the reign of King Thiệu Trị.

Locals often call it by the folksy name “King Lotus Pagoda” because the pagoda pond holds many giant lotus (King Lotus) plants.

Remarkably, a mature lotus leaf can bear a weight of 140 kg, sparking curiosity and delight among visitors.

The lotus has a unique blooming cycle:

1. It first blooms around 6 p.m., giving off fragrance until midnight, then starts to close
2. Around 3 a.m. it blooms again, and closes at about 4–5 p.m.
3. Each time it blooms, the color grows a little deeper, turning into a deep purple as it fades

You can experience taking photos standing on a King Lotus leaf in many unique poses.

The group departs for Hồ Chí Minh City, stopping on the way to buy local specialties.

On arrival in Hồ Chí Minh City, the 1-day Mekong Delta tour ends; farewell to the group and see you again.
