ITINERARY 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS
DAY 1: Cloud hunting at Chiêu Lầu Thi
06:00 – 06:30 breakfast (rice noodle soup, phở, steamed rice rolls…)
07:00 the group sets off
12:00 lunch in Thông Nguyên – one of the 23 communes of Hoàng Su Phì, blessed with charming scenery and range upon range of mountains. For hundreds of years local people have built vast terraced fields here for farming, and today those terraces play a key role in drawing visitors to Thông Nguyên.
Visit the terraced-field paradise of Nậm Khòa
Check in at the Hồ Thầu terraces – here you have the chance to experience the life of the ethnic minority communities amid majestic nature and stunning landscapes.
Check in and hunt clouds at the Chiêu Lầu Thi summit – one of the highest peaks in the Northeast. Chiêu Lầu Thi lies in Hồ Thầu commune, and its highest point is formed of huge boulders. On rainy, misty days the place feels like a fairyland. It is also a chance to see a remarkably diverse ecosystem.
18:00 check in at the Chiêu Lầu Thi homestay – rest, have dinner and join the activities on offer there.
DAY 2: Bản Luốc – Bản Phùng
06:00 – 06:30 check out and have breakfast
07:30 set off for Bản Luốc – famous for its breathtaking terraced fields, ranked as a national scenic site for a beauty that is at once untouched and bound up with the long cultural history of the Dao and Tày peoples.
Lunch in Vinh Quang town
Check in at the Bản Phùng terraces – this commune lies close to the Chinese border. The terraces here cling to steep mountainsides and look truly striking; Bản Phùng is known for the highest terraced fields in Vietnam.
17:00 check in at the hotel, rest and eat in Cốc Pài town – explore the night market and taste the local specialities…
DAY 3: Suôi Thầu grasslands – waterfall – Hà Giang City
06:00 – 06:30 check out and have breakfast
Check in and explore the Suôi Thầu grasslands – wild and poetic yet every bit as majestic, with wonderfully fresh air that draws many travellers here.
Explore Tiên waterfall – here you can take in the majestic beauty of the falls, watch the water in full view, listen to the sounds of nature and soak up the landscape.
Check in at the top of Gió Pass – you have not reached Xín Mần until you have crossed Gió Pass, nor seen the untouched beauty and original culture of this rugged western corner of Hà Giang. The winding road through the clouds that leads to Cốc Pài town from the southern gateway is a pass that stays with everyone who rides it.
12:00 lunch stop at a restaurant
In the afternoon the group heads back to our operations office in Hà Giang City
17:00 back at our operations office in Hà Giang City, you can shower and rest while waiting for the pre-booked ride home.
This brings the 3-day 2-night western Hà Giang loop, full of fun and new discoveries, to an end.

- On public holidays and Tết a surcharge of 200,000₫ per person applies.
