Overview
The Mui Ne Sand Dunes Jeep Tour picks you up at your hotel in Mui Ne and covers the four best-known sights in about 4 hours: the White Sand Dunes (Bau Trang), the Red Sand Dunes, the Mui Ne fishing village and the Fairy Stream. The sights are several to tens of kilometres apart, so a jeep saves a lot of time and effort.
Choose the sunrise tour (pickup around 4:15 – 4:30, sunrise over the White Sand Dunes) or the sunset tour (pickup around 13:30 – 14:00, sunset over the Red Sand Dunes). Both visit the same places, only the times and order differ. Your local driver suggests how long to spend at each stop.
There are 3 options: a budget shared jeep, a private jeep for 1 – 6 guests and a private jeep that drives up onto the Bau Trang dunes. Quad bike (ATV) rides on the White Sand Dunes can be rented on site.
Please note: there is no tour guide. On the standard options the jeep stops at the car park and you walk up the dunes or rent an ATV. Only the "up the dunes" option drives guests onto the dunes (stopping at the lower dunes) and across the lake.

SUNRISE TOUR (about 4:30 – 8:30)
- 04:15 – 04:30: Jeep pickup at your hotel/resort.
- 05:15: White Sand Dunes (Bau Trang) – watch the sunrise from the top of the dunes. ATV rides available (own expense).
- 06:30: Red Sand Dunes – gentler slopes and striking red sand for photos. Sandboards for rent.
- 07:10: Mui Ne fishing village – fishermen bring the catch ashore, women sort the seafood and fishing boats fill the bay.
- 07:30: Fairy Stream – a small, clear, shallow stream running through the red dunes; easy to walk barefoot. Ostrich rides available (own expense).
- 08:30: Return to your hotel/resort.
SUNSET TOUR (about 14:00 – 18:00)
- 13:30 – 14:00: Jeep pickup at your hotel/resort.
- 14:10: Fairy Stream.
- 15:00: Mui Ne fishing village.
- 15:55: White Sand Dunes (Bau Trang).
- 17:10: Red Sand Dunes – sunset.
- 18:00: Return to your hotel/resort.
Times are approximate. Shared jeeps may pick up a little earlier or later because they collect several guests. Private jeeps also run 9:00 – 13:00 or at a time you choose.
