A special departure on one date only – 10 October 2026, the day of the 2026 Bảy Núi Ox Racing Festival in An Giang. This is a genuine Khmer community festival rather than a commercial show, so you celebrate side by side with local people.
Leaving Cần Thơ at 03:00, you have breakfast in Châu Đốc, watch the ox races and visit the Bà Chúa Xứ Temple on Núi Sam, then cruise the Hậu River to Châu Phong Cham village for lunch and a xe lôi ride through traditional Cham workshops.
Late afternoon brings the Ngũ Sắc floating fish-farm village, followed by a grilled-beef dinner and the return to your Cần Thơ meeting point at around 20:00. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, entrance tickets, boat, xe lôi and an English-speaking guide are all included.

DAY 1: Cần Thơ – Núi Sam – Châu Đốc – Cần Thơ (10 October 2026)
- 03:00 – Meet at the agreed meeting point in Cần Thơ and transfer by air-conditioned vehicle to Núi Sam (Sam Mountain), An Giang (about 3 hours).
- 06:00 – Breakfast at a local eatery in Châu Đốc: hủ tiếu noodle soup, grilled pork with rice or bánh canh, with coffee, milk coffee or soft drinks.
- 07:00 – Bảy Núi Ox Racing Festival 2026 (held only on 10 October), a traditional festival of the Khmer community: cheer on the races, hear how the festival began and what it means to the community, and see Khmer traditional dress and customs; free time for photos and chatting with locals.
- Optional stop at Thơ Mít Pagoda for an introduction to Khmer Theravada Buddhism and the area's religious traditions.
- 10:00 – Bà Chúa Xứ Temple on Núi Sam: offer incense, pray for your family's well-being and discover Châu Đốc's folk beliefs.
- 11:30 – Boat trip on the Hậu River to see riverside life and An Giang's Cham community.
- 12:00 – 13:00 – Visit a traditional Cham house in Châu Phong and enjoy a lunch of local specialities including beef curry, “ca pua”, tung lò mò and stir-fried điên điển flowers with shrimp.
- 13:00 – 15:00 – Explore Cham culture by xe lôi: a tung lò mò workshop where you try making Cham beef sausage, a Ha-Co baked bánh bò cake workshop, and a brocade weaving workshop with a go on the traditional loom and photos in a Cham bridal room; also see distinctive mosques and a Cham house over 100 years old, and taste traditional Cham cakes (Ha gram, Ha chok, Ha paayrah, Ha nawmken, Ha sayka).
- 15:00 – 16:00 – Cruise back to Châu Đốc along the Hậu River, stopping at the Ngũ Sắc floating fish-farm village to learn about cage fish farming and feed the fish.
- 16:30 – Land at Châu Đốc pier and drive back towards the original meeting point.
- 18:00 – Dinner of Tư Hương grilled beef, a local speciality.
- Around 20:00 – Arrive back at the original meeting point in Cần Thơ; end of tour.
