TOUR ITINERARY
Morning: Gia Lai – Kon Tum – Măng Đen
07:30 The coach and guide pick you up at the meeting point (hotel/Pleiku airport). Depart for Kon Tum
08:00 The coach takes the group along National Highway 14; the guide shares the story of the red basalt soil and the wild sunflower (Dã Quỳ) of the great Central Highlands (Tây Nguyên)
08:30 Arrive in Kon Tum and visit:
- Kon Tum Wooden Church: Built from Cà Chít (red ironwood) timber, its ceiling and walls made of earth mixed with straw. Designed in a Romanesque style combined with the stilt-house architecture of the Ba Na people, and built by skilled craftsmen from Quảng Ngãi and Bình Định.
- Kon Klor suspension bridge: 292 m long and 4.5 m wide, spanning the Đắk Bla River in Kon Klor village
- Visit the communal (rông) house of the Ba Na people
11:45 Lunch at your own expense (grilled chicken with bamboo-tube rice / chicken rice / grilled meat…)
AFTERNOON: MĂNG ĐEN – GIA LAI
13:30 The coach takes you to visit the Măng Đen resort town, a place likened to a miniature Đà Lạt:
- Pa Sỹ Waterfall: a pristine waterfall with cool, clear water set amid the Măng Đen forest
- Khánh Lâm Pagoda: the most prominent pagoda in Măng Đen
- Măng Đen Victory Monument
- Statue of Our Lady of Măng Đen (Đức Mẹ Măng Đen)
- Shop for specialty gifts in Măng Đen
- Măng Đen clean-vegetable farm
- The Măng Đen pine-tree road
- Đắk Ke Lake
16:30 The group returns to Gia Lai. Shop for avocado, durian and coffee specialties (seasonal)
17:50 Arrive back in Gia Lai; the coach returns you to the original meeting point. End of the tour, see you again
