150km in four and a half hours — the road, not the bus
On flat roads 150km takes around three hours. Here it takes over an hour longer because Đà Lạt sits on a plateau more than 1,500m above sea level while Mũi Né is at the water's edge. All of that difference has to be given back on winding mountain roads.
What matters for you: this leg brings on motion sickness more readily than flat routes of the same length. If you are prone to it, take something before boarding and choose a seat towards the front, near the axle.
With only two departures, choosing a time means choosing your day
The 08:00 arrives in Mũi Né around 12:30 — time to check in with the whole afternoon still at the beach. The 13:00 arrives around 17:30, just in time for sunset over the dunes, but the afternoon goes to the road.
If you only have one night in Mũi Né, the 08:00 is worth markedly more: the difference is exactly one afternoon, and that is the only afternoon you get.
