How to get from Đà Nẵng to Mỹ Sơn?

The Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary is located about 50 km southwest of Đà Nẵng, taking 1–1.5 hours to drive. This UNESCO heritage site consists of Cham temples and towers dating from the 4th to the 13th century, situated in a closed valley, making it very sunny and hot at noon.

Early morning is best: the temple area opens around 6 AM, when it is cool, less crowded, and the light is beautiful for photography. At noon, the valley reflects very harsh sunlight, and walking between the temple groups is quite tiring. There are Cham dance performances during the day — ask for the schedule when buying tickets so you don't miss them.

Entrance tickets and walking distance

The prices on this page are for vehicle fares, not including the entrance ticket to Mỹ Sơn. From the gate to the temple area, there is an electric shuttle for part of the way, and the rest must be walked on dirt paths — so wear grippy shoes, and bring a hat and water. A reasonable total sightseeing time is 2–3 hours.
