How to conveniently travel from Đà Nẵng to Hội An

Hội An is about 26 km from the center of Đà Nẵng, taking 45 minutes to 1 hour to travel. There are two routes: the coastal Võ Nguyên Giáp – Lạc Long Quân road running along Non Nước beach, and National Highway 1A via Vĩnh Điện, which is shorter but has more trucks. Price range for this route

Prices for private 4–7 seater cars on the Đà Nẵng – Hội An route vary by provider and time of day. The biggest difference lies in the pricing method: hailing a ride on the spot means prices fluctuate based on peak hours, weather, and vehicle availability, whereas booking in advance guarantees a fixed price — you pay exactly what is agreed upon, with no surcharges for rain or busy airport times. For larger groups, a shared 16-seater charged per passenger is significantly cheaper; private 16-seaters and 9–11 seater limousines are available for groups needing the entire vehicle.

Vehicles cannot reach hotels right inside the ancient town

The ancient town of Hội An restricts car access during certain hours, so vehicles usually drop passengers off at the edge of the ancient town, after which you walk or take an electric cart inside. If your hotel is located within the pedestrian zone, ask the reception in advance for the nearest drop-off point to avoid dragging your luggage too far.

What time to travel

Late afternoon is the busiest time as visitors flock to Hội An to see the lanterns, and the stretch through Vĩnh Điện often gets congested. Traveling before 15:00 or after 19:00 will result in clearer roads.
