The most comprehensive highland route in the North: traveling all the way from Sa Pa to Hoàng Su Phì, up to the Đồng Văn rock plateau, then looping over to Cao Bằng to Bản Giốc waterfall.

This is the region with the highest density of ethnic minorities in Vietnam. The journey passes through villages of the H’Mông, Dao đỏ, Tày, Nùng, Lô Lô, and Pà Thẻn people – each group with its own traditional attire and unique handicraft.

The Đồng Văn rock plateau is a UNESCO Global Geopark. The Mã Pì Lèng pass overlooking the Nho Quế river is considered the most beautiful route in Vietnam. Best time to visit: September–October for ripe rice, October–November for buckwheat flowers.

NORTHEAST – NORTHWEST TOUR ITINERARY 12 DAYS 11 NIGHTS

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HÀ NỘI

  1. Pickup at Nội Bài airport, check-in at Hà Nội hotel.

DAY 2: HÀ NỘI – SA PA

  1. Drive to Sa Pa via the expressway, check-in.
  2. Afternoon stroll around the town and the stone church.

DAY 3: SA PA

  1. Trekking in Mường Hoa valley: Lao Chải, Tả Van.
  2. Lunch at a local home, afternoon return to Sa Pa.

DAY 4: SA PA – HOÀNG SU PHÌ

  1. Drive to Hoàng Su Phì via the mountain pass.
  2. Afternoon admiring the terraced fields, stay at a Red Dao homestay.

DAY 5: HOÀNG SU PHÌ

  1. Walk through Dao and Nùng villages.
  2. Observe weaving, indigo dyeing, and Red Dao herbal leaf bathing.

DAY 6: HOÀNG SU PHÌ – QUẢN BẠ

  1. Drive to Quản Bạ, stop at Heaven's Gate and Đôi Mountain.
  2. Afternoon visit to a H’Mông village, overnight stay in Quản Bạ.

DAY 7: QUẢN BẠ – ĐỒNG VĂN

  1. Pass through Yên Minh to Đồng Văn.
  2. Visit the Vương family mansion and Lũng Cú flag tower.
  3. Overnight stay in the old town of Đồng Văn.

DAY 8: ĐỒNG VĂN – MÃ PÌ LÈNG

  1. Morning visit to the Đồng Văn market if it falls on market day.
  2. Cross Mã Pì Lèng pass, take a boat on the Nho Quế river through Tu Sản canyon.

DAY 9: ĐỒNG VĂN – CAO BẰNG

  1. Drive to Cao Bằng via the Bảo Lạc route.
  2. Stop to visit a Lô Lô village along the way.

DAY 10: CAO BẰNG – BẢN GIỐC

  1. Visit Bản Giốc waterfall, take a bamboo raft right to the base of the falls.
  2. Afternoon visit to Phật Tích Trúc Lâm Bản Giốc pagoda.

DAY 11: BẢN GIỐC – NGƯỜM NGAO – LẠNG SƠN

  1. Visit Ngườm Ngao cave.
  2. Drive to Lạng Sơn, afternoon stroll around Đông Kinh market.

DAY 12: LẠNG SƠN – HÀ NỘI

  1. Breakfast, drive back to Hà Nội.
  2. Transfer to Nội Bài airport, end of tour.

  3. Single room supplement if the customer chooses to stay alone.
  4. Beverages, laundry, telephone calls, and personal expenses outside the tour program.
  5. Tips for the tour guide and driver.
  6. Surcharges for holidays, Tết, and peak season.
  7. Incurred expenses due to bad weather, flight delays, or schedule changes.

Go365 VietNam processes refunds directly — funds are returned to the original payment method within 7 – 15 working days (subject to your bank's processing time).
