A journey across Thailand from south to north, following the historical axis of the Xiêm kingdom: modern Bangkok, Ayutthaya, the old capital burned to the ground by the Burmese in 1767, Sukhothai – the first capital of the Thái people, and ending in Chiang Mai, the capital of the northern Lanna kingdom.
Both Ayutthaya and Sukhothai are historical parks recognized by UNESCO. Guests cycle among the ruins instead of traveling by car like most tours – the only way to truly grasp the scale of these two capitals.
This itinerary is ideal for a first visit to Thailand and for those who wish to understand the cultural depth, rather than just shopping in Bangkok.

8-DAY 7-NIGHT THAILAND TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN BANGKOK
- Pickup at Bangkok airport, transfer to the hotel for check-in.
- Free time to relax. Overnight in Bangkok.
DAY 2: BANGKOK – GRAND PALACE AND CANALS
- Visit the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
- Take a longtail boat ride on the Thonburi canal, visit Wat Arun – the Temple of Dawn.
- Enjoy lunch, then in the afternoon visit Wat Pho to see the 46m-long gold-leaf reclining Buddha statue.
DAY 3: BANGKOK – FLOATING MARKET AND TRAIN MARKET
- Head to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market early in the morning.
- Visit the Maeklong Railway Market – a market set right on the train tracks.
- Return to Bangkok in the afternoon, enjoy dinner on a Chao Phraya River cruise in the evening.
DAY 4: BANGKOK – AYUTTHAYA – SUKHOTHAI
- Check out and head to Ayutthaya.
- Cycle to explore Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram.
- Have lunch, then continue to Sukhothai. Overnight in Sukhothai.
DAY 5: SUKHOTHAI – LAMPANG
- Cycle through the Sukhothai Historical Park, visit Wat Mahathat and Wat Si Chum.
- Enjoy lunch, then head to Lampang.
- Visit the wooden temple Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. Overnight in Lampang.
DAY 6: LAMPANG – CHIANG MAI
- Visit the Thai National Elephant Conservation Center, observe elephant care and medical treatment.
- Travel to Chiang Mai and check in.
- Free evening to stroll around the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar.
DAY 7: CHIANG MAI – DOI SUTHEP AND CRAFT VILLAGES
- Head up the mountain to visit Doi Suthep Temple.
- In the afternoon, visit the Bo Sang paper umbrella craft village and the Sankampaeng silk weaving village.
- In the evening, enjoy a Khantoke dinner accompanied by Lanna dance performances.
DAY 8: CHIANG MAI – AIRPORT TRANSFER
- Have breakfast and enjoy free time for shopping.
- Check out, transfer to Chiang Mai airport.
