SGN - MY THO - BEN TRE - DITCH FISHING - SGN
🗓 Regular departures: Every Saturday and Sunday
07:00: Gather at 156 Le Lai, District 1.
Depart for My Tho via the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong Expressway.
Arrive in My Tho
Stop at Mekong Restop — the first stop of the Mekong Delta 19 Tour.
The group has breakfast and takes souvenir photos.
Next:
Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda — built by Mr. and Mrs. Bui Cong Dat in the 19th century.
It is a prominent architectural and artistic monument, blending Asian and European architectural styles.
Cruise the Tien River
Travel to 30/4 Wharf and board a boat to cruise the Tien River.
Admire the four islets: Long, Lan, Quy, Phung (Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, Phoenix).
The boat runs along the floating fish rafts, where you learn about river fish-farming, with a view of Rach Mieu Bridge.
Arrive at Thoi Son Islet (Unicorn Islet)
Stroll along the village road, visit local homes and fruit orchards.
Enjoy seasonal fruit and listen to Southern Vietnamese amateur music (Don ca tai tu).
Visit a honey-bee farm and enjoy honey-lime tea.
Ride a rowing sampan winding through small canals, admiring the two rows of water coconuts and feeling the peaceful orchard-country atmosphere.
Continue the journey to Ben Tre
Visit a specialty coconut-candy workshop and a rice-paper workshop in Tan Thach commune.
Lunch at Viet Nhat Eco Restaurant
Visit the farming models: crocodile, porcupine, frog and softshell-turtle farms, fruit gardens, coconut groves and rice fields.
There are hammocks for resting after lunch.
Change into an ao ba ba (traditional southern outfit) and take part in the ditch-draining fish-catching program.
Free play with many rustic activities:
- Cycling across the bridge
- Rowing on the canal
- Rope swinging
- Walking the monkey bridge
- And many other fun games
15:00: Return to the boat, back to My Tho, and depart for Ho Chi Minh City.
