Itinerary — Đồng Tháp full-day tour
DAY 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Đồng Tháp Mười – Ho Chi Minh City
- 07:00–07:15 – Hotel pickup in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and drive to Đồng Tháp (about 150 km, 2 hours).
- 09:00–09:30 – Arrive at Đồng Tháp Mười Ecological Reserve for a short introduction by your guide to the melaleuca forest ecosystem.
- 09:30–11:00 – Wooden boat ride through the canals between melaleuca trees and lotus fields, then a walk on the elevated trail with birdwatching at the observation points.
- 11:00–11:45 – Visit a pineapple-growing community with fields on raised beds and taste fresh pineapple.
- 12:00–13:00 – Lunch at a local restaurant with freshwater fish, seasonal vegetables, rice and soup.
- 13:15–14:15 – Visit Trúc Lâm Chánh Giác Zen Monastery, whose architecture blends Indian and Nepalese Buddhist elements. Please wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees.
- 14:30 – Depart for Ho Chi Minh City (about 2 hours).
- 16:30–17:00 – Arrive at your hotel in District 1; end of tour.
