Most visitors to Cambodia only spend three days in Siem Reap before heading back. This 9-day journey covers all three of the country's largest cities, including Battambang, a destination very few Vietnamese tour groups ever visit.
In Phnom Penh, you will confront Cambodia's most somber history: the Tuol Sleng museum and the Choeung Ek killing fields. Moving on to Battambang, you will experience a completely different pace of life – bamboo trains running on old tracks, rice paper-making villages, and temples on Sampeau mountain with flocks of bats flying out at dusk.
The final four days are dedicated entirely to Angkor, providing ample time to visit even the more distant temples such as Beng Mealea and Banteay Srei, which shorter tours always have to skip.

9-DAY 8-NIGHT CAMBODIA TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN PHNOM PENH
- Pick-up at Phnom Penh airport, check-in at the hotel.
- Enjoy a welcome dinner by the Tonle Sap River.
DAY 2: PHNOM PENH
- Visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and National Museum.
- In the afternoon, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Choeung Ek Killing Fields.
DAY 3: PHNOM PENH – BATTAMBANG
- Check out and travel to Battambang by private car.
- Check-in, and in the afternoon, stroll through the French Quarter along the Sangker River.
DAY 4: BATTAMBANG
- Ride the Norry bamboo train on the old railway tracks.
- Visit the villages making rice paper, flattened rice, and prahok fish paste.
- In the afternoon, go up Sampeau Mountain to watch the bats fly out at sunset.
DAY 5: BATTAMBANG – SIEM REAP
- Check out and head to Siem Reap.
- Stop by the pink sandstone Banteay Srei temple on the way.
- Check-in at the hotel in Siem Reap.
DAY 6: ANGKOR WAT – ANGKOR THOM
- Enter Angkor Wat at sunrise.
- In the afternoon, explore Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple, Baphuon, and the Terrace of the Elephants.
DAY 7: TA PROHM – BENG MEALEA
- Visit Ta Prohm – the temple enveloped by tree roots.
- In the afternoon, visit Beng Mealea, the temple left in its original ruined state amidst the jungle.
DAY 8: TONLE SAP LAKE
- Take a boat trip to visit the floating village of Kampong Phluk and the flooded forest.
- In the afternoon, free time for shopping at the Siem Reap Old Market.
DAY 9: SIEM REAP – AIRPORT TRANSFER
- Breakfast and check-out.
- Transfer to Siem Reap airport.
