Overview
Phong Nha Cave is one of the most famous caves in Vietnam, with one of the longest underground rivers in Southeast Asia, and is known as a natural wonder. The tour to conquer 4.5 km of Phong Nha Cave takes you beyond the standard sightseeing route to go deeper into the cave with genuinely challenging experiences.
You will paddle your own kayak on the underground river, trek through the cave, explore mysterious side chambers and have lunch right inside the cave. This is a memorable adventure for anyone who loves discovery.

DETAILED ITINERARY
08:00: The vehicle and guide pick you up in the Phong Nha area and depart for Phong Nha Cave.
09:00: The guide briefs the itinerary, explains the safety rules and introduces the protective equipment used throughout the trip.
10:00: Transfer to the cave entrance, where the guide teaches kayaking technique with about 10 minutes of practice before the exploration begins.
11:00: Paddle for about 60 minutes on the clear Son River to reach deep inside Phong Nha Cave, then start trekking through the cave system.
13:00: Arrive at Xuyen Son Cave, rest, admire the clear blue lake and enjoy the cool air inside the cave.
13:30: Enjoy lunch beside the underground river right inside the cave.
14:00: Continue trekking and kayaking on the way back out.
15:00: Explore the standout chambers:
- Bi Ky Cave - where many ancient characters are carved into the rock walls.
- Co Tien Cave - known for its soft, unusual stalactite formations.
- Cung Dinh Cave - impressive for its magnificent stalactites and vast space.
16:00: Board the boat back to Phong Nha pier.
16:30: The vehicle takes you back to Dong Hoi or the original pick-up point. End of the programme.
